Body Balancing Broth

One of the characteristics of healthy people is that they maintain a healthy blood hydrogen or pH. When you learned about pH in high school, you probably thought of this as just another chemistry tidbit that really have nothing to do with you. Wrong … A normal blood Hydrogen Ion concentration or pH is very important to staying well and keeping a healthy defensive immune system, keeping ache and pains away and protecting you from intruders like flu viruses. Fortunately your can support your body’s blood pH with making the correct choices in food. Here is something that it is so simple you might want to dismiss the idea. Develop a habit of making a body balancing broth, drink it and it will quickly balance your body fluids. This will uplift your immune system function and it will start doing its job of keeping you well in the face of the onslaught of substances you encounter on a daily basis that can be disruptive to your health. This broth contains ingredients that give up minerals that maintain optimum Hydrogen Ion (pH) level for good health. This concept is so simple, yet enriching; you might want to forgo it for something that is more medical and expensive. For instance people with arthritis and who get ill easily can make this one change and reap better results with their health. Drinking this broth is a perfect way to neutralize the fluids in your body and keep the pH of the blood at its healthiest state. Taking this one simple nourishing step can add you to the lineup of people who age without chronic disease. And that is an enjoyable and enriching thing!. You can drink this broth as is or use it as stock in other recipes or as liquid for other soups. What you need: Gather 4 Carrots unpeeled, 4 stalks of celery, green leafy vegetables like Kale, Mustard and collards, 2 unpeeled Onions and or Leeks, I pod of unpeeled garlic, ½ bunch Parsley, 2 Red potatoes, 1 Sweet potato, 8-inch strip of Dried Kombu sea weed, 2 Bay leaves, a few Baby Bokchoy, a few Black peppercorns, a few Allspice berries and or Juniper berries and a large piece of Ginger about 3 inches. Use a large stock pot about 12 quarts filled with water to about 2 inches below the rim. Rinse all the vegetables; add about two or three large handfuls of all the green leafy vegetables you purchased; add spices and other ingredients to the water; cover and bring to a boil. Then remove the lid; decrease the heat to low and simmer for about 1 hour. Be sure to set a timer, least you forget about the simmering pot. At this time, add more water if there is evaporation and the vegetables are above the water. Taste for the essence of the vegetables... Add salt to taste if desired. Remove from heat. Strain the stock into containers. Cool at room temperature then refrigerate or freeze. This should yield about 3 quarts of nourishing alkaline broth. Use this broth to replace sweet and high acid fluids like coffee and cola. Add it to soups and dishes that require water in the preparation. Before long you body fluids will be at its normal pH and you will stay as fit as a fiddle.
